We get shocked when we see videos and stories of injustice against others. We expect things to change and be better because, hey we live in a different time right? Well, we don’t.
Not much has changed and this has been building up for some time. When a man who outright speaks ill of women and other races gets voted into power not only reflects how much the world has stayed but also just how far people are willing to go to keep things the same.
These cries are nothing new. One side is crying for fair equal treatment but no matter how much or how far those experiencing injustice go to have their grievances heard, as long the other side is just firm in their beliefs, have the numbers and power to dictate the law and choose the leaders, the end doesn’t seem to be around the corner.
