“This is Me, and This is What I Do” – the First Step To Conquering Fear

Most of us come up with great ideas, we sometimes follow through by doing our research on their viability and dream it all up in your head.

Then resistance comes, the inner voice in our head, the demon that has all the reasons why you shouldn’t do it. It comes up with a thousand and one reasons why it will fail, it convinces you that you should put it off for at least a couple of days, which turn to weeks, months, and ultimately never.

Sometimes we write the business plan, register all the necessary documentation, and have everything set but we never pull the trigger because what if people don’t buy our product, use our service. The thought rejection at that scale becomes too much to bear.

With all of these problems, sometimes the solution is really just to say “This is me and this is what I do”. To a family member, a friend, and a stranger. Once we put ourselves out there we sometimes get embarrassed to see it through as we tell people about it but most importantly we gain the confidence to keep going and we realize that the fear we had along was nothing but made up in our heads.
