It’s easy to confuse what’s important with what’s urgent. Urgent things need to be done now, they have a deadline, stressful and little long term benefits.
Important things have long term benefits, they cover a wider scope of things and they don’t need to be done now but if not addressed everything could fall apart.
There’s always that one last e-mail to replay to, a WhatsApp text that needs your response, that order to fulfill, the drink or cigarette you can’t wait to have. They are all urgent, all stressful and eat away your valuable time.
Important things are working on your growth & marketing strategy, getting enough time to sleep, mediation, spending time with loved ones. These are invaluable and benefit all sectors of our life.
It’s important to step back from the urgent and focus on what’s important.
