The Disappointment Loop

  • by

The thing about disappointment is that it’s almost impossible to not experience it.

Almost every life experience is tightly linked to it, for as long as we live and attach our lives to the lives of others we open ourselves to it.

We can avoid it by having no expectations, having no partner or friends, and completely being self-reliant.

But not even that is full proof, we ourselves are vessels of disappointment.

Once we put expectations on ourselves to do something and be a certain way we just open ourselves up for it.

Disappointment is a giant loop that comes with growth in ourselves and the joy of having people in ourselves that can somehow let us down but it’s somewhat better than being alone.
