In the beginning we lie to ourselves about the cracks in a relationship, how hard the start-up journey is going to be or getting rid of bad habits.
The initial high at the start can get so much that we are intoxicated by it all. It’s like the start of a long distance run, you feel great, motivated and optimistic after the first few kilometres.
And then after a while it hits you, you start to sober up, the realities of the cracks come creeping in, you realize how hard it actually is.
But then at that moment, there are two options, fight or fright. Those who quit can leave to fight another day but those who fight, often see victory, come out the other side stronger, wiser and as better versions of themselves.
