When a system that is meant to protect and serve people loses the trust of the public, it’s influence and effectiveness gets devalued.
The masses revolt and come out with torches and pitchfolks.
Not acting in time can cause total collapse of the very foundations of that system.
The only way to build that trust back is through impartiality, ousting of the bad seeds, and rebuilding from the ground up.
