Greatness is never an accident.
It only comes as a shock to others, not the person that reaches that status.
They see and know the work they put in every day, the pain, disappointment, and know the level of grit it requires.
Great people know that they are and will be from a very young age.
They believe in it with everything they have, even though everyone else doubts it.
And even when they are, those around sometimes don’t see it because of proximity to it.
Sometimes true greatness needs people to step back in order to see and appreciate it better.
