Future vehicle start-ups won’t have to build large factories to run and operate like legacy carmakers. We will see an age of OEM’s going digital and instead of having their own manufacturing facilities they will have offices for building software and vehicle design and prototyping.
Much like Apple has companies like Foxconn do the manufacturing of the iPhone, the same will happen with new automakers, they will be more of digital technology start-ups rather than manufacturing companies.
I will explore this topic more next week on the EMCSA online talk and in detail, next year at the conference where we will talk about Mazibuko Motor Company will operate and fit in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
